Ear Candy

Baltimore

Ear Candy is a registered barbershop quartet from the Heart of Maryland Chorus and Atlantic Harmony Brigade. The quartet consists of four experienced singers who came together in the summer of 2013 in order to enter the first Patapsco Valley Chapter Quartet Contest, which they won that September (after a long 5 min rehearsal in the parking lot!). Ear Candy consists of three baritones (George Korch, Ben Hawker and Glenn Phillips), who ‘fight’ over the top three quartet voice parts, along with bass Larry Klein. They competed in the 2014 Western Division contest of the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Mid-Atlantic District, and, despite limited rehearsal opportunities, placed higher than expected. In 2015 they competed at Western Division again with similar short rehearsal schedule and improved their score to a 65.3. Ear Candy had the privilege of being selected as the opening act for O.C. Times on the AHB annual show in August 2014.
